Bon Secour Village is based upon the journey of the Le Moyne brothers, who after
landing in the Gulf Shores/Bon Secour region in 1702 explored westward from Alabama;
finally settling in New Orleans. Our premise is to create a living town that pays
homage to the French Creole heritage imprinted upon these lands.
300 years later, the famed Andres Duany, master planner of the Traditional
Neighborhood Developments of Seaside, Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach
and more, is the firebrand of our effort. Bon Secour Village was designed to bring
back the best of the old Southern style, intertwined it with the convenience of
modern day design.
Bon Secour Village is a town within a town, where daily activities are within
walking distance, connected by attractive streets and community spaces. Residents
walk along brick paved streets, beneath gas-lamp lights, enjoy neighborhood parks,
pools, and quiet courtyards. Bon Secour will thrive with vibrant shops, restaurants,
marinas and more. Activities abound for children and families, with annual festivals
and events. Bon Secour Village is destined to be the Martha’s Vineyard of
the South.
Bon Secour is the ‘neighborhood’ we all wish we had grown up in, and
where the finest amenities are all part of the community. A town for all ages,
your town and your history, the way life was meant to be. |
